Elgin Young Professionals Network was among several individuals, organizations and projects honored with an Elgin Image Award at the 23rd Annual Elgin Image Awards Ceremony on Thursday, March 19 at The Centre of Elgin’s Heritage Ballroom.
We are very proud of our network’s accomplishments and humbled to be recognized by the City of Elgin’s Image Commission. Congratulations to all of this year’s winners and nominees.

Elgin’s Image Advisory Commission is now seeking nominations for its prestigious Image Awards which annually recognizes individuals, businesses and organizations that have had a positive impact on Elgin.
Categories include Individual/Professional, Individual/Volunteer, Projects (such as special events, fundraising projects and neighborhood improvements), Organizations/Businesses and Citizenship.
The deadline to submit nominations is January 23, 2015 at 5pm. Winners are selected by members of the Image Advisory Commission, and will be honored at the annual Image Awards event scheduled for March 19, 2015 at The Centre of Elgin, 100 Symphony Way. Nomination forms are available on the City’s website www.cityofelgin.org, Robert Gilliam Municipal Complex and The Centre of Elgin. Congratulations to Elgin Area Convention & Visitors Bureau Director of Marketing and Elgin Young Professionals Network board Vice President, Krisilee Murphy, on her nomination for the City of Elgin’s 2014 Image Awards.
EVENT DATE CHANGE: The annual event, which takes place Thursday, March 27 at 6pm at The Centre of Elgin’s Heritage Ballroom, 100 Symphony Way, recognizes individuals, businesses and organizations that have had a positive impact on the Elgin community.
For her outstanding work in promoting tourism in the Elgin area, Murphy was named a 30-Under-30 Ambassador last year by Destination Marketing Association International. She also serves as chair of Market Illinois, a high profile niche marketing committee of the Illinois Office of Tourism. In 2012, she received the YWCA Elgin’s Marguerite Henry Award for Communications at the annual Leader Luncheon.
