Join the Mob with EYPN at Herb’s Bakery 6/21

HerbsDon’t forget! On Saturday, June 21 from 7am-12pm, please join the Elgin Young Professionals Network in supporting Herb’s Bakery, 1020 Larkin Avenue in Elgin at our semi-annual CASH MOB.

The cash mob is an event intended to create an influx of revenue for a local business by organizing a mob of people to go and spend at least $20 on a designated day. It shows our support for the “little guy” not the big box stores! They carry coffee, donuts, cakes and other yummy baked goods. This will provide an immense amount of support for the selected business, often surpassing a local shop’s earnings for a month or more in one day!

As an added bonus, Herb’s Bakery has generously agreed to raffle off a $30 gift certificate to all of our participating “mobsters” who spend a minimum of $20 that day! Now that’s an offer you can’t refuse.

We can’t do this without you!

Tell your neighbors, friends and family. Post it on Facebook, Twitter and text it! We plan to “mob” at least twice a year, targeting a different Elgin business each time. Spacetaste, Elgin Books and others have already profited from our mobs; and we helped them accomplish some of their most prosperous Saturdays ever!

And when you check out, please let the owners know that you are part of the Cash Mob.

So please, come support Herb’s Bakery on Saturday, June 21 between 7am and 12pm, spend at least $20, and take the time to support the businesses that make Elgin a community!
